Please allow me to introduce myself and to give you a little bit of background information about myself.

My name is Peter Watkin, and I have been in the building trade all of my working life, in total over 35 years.

Unlike many so called tradesmen in the building and roofing industry today, I have served a proper five year apprenticeship (back in the day when an

apprenticeship meant something).

In my possession I still have my full indentures and City and guilds certificates to prove it.

I took my advanced City and Guilds examination in building back in the 1970s, at Wrexham Technical College.

where I attended both night school and day release for the duration of my apprenticeship.

I have the ability to read intricate plans and work to scale drawings.

Additionally I can converse with architects at the highest level.

In the web pages that follow I will first try my best to give you a breakdown of all the different flat roofs systems that I offer.

After viewing the sites content you can then decide which system best suits your own needs and budget.

If installed correctly can and will last for many years, contrary to what many self professed experts in the building trade say about them, over 10 years or more.

In truth most flat felt roofs fail because of substandard workmanship, the wrong choice of product, or insufficient layers of felt. Failing to seal the joints correctly, or not moulding the fashings into the wall properly are just a few common faults.

So why chose a traditional felt roof?

Price. Traditional flat felt roofs are still one of the cheapest roofs to install.
They are reliable for 10 years or more.
They look cosmetically appealing.
They are very easily repaired.
